    • Blood Agar Base được sử dụng với máu để phân lập và nuôi cấy nhiều loại vi sinh vật khó tính. Blood Agar Base không được dùng để chẩn đoán bệnh hoặc các tình trạng khác ở người. Một nền thạch đa năng, rẻ tiền, với việc bổ sung 5-7% máu vô trùng, có thể được sử dụng để nuôi cấy nhiều loại vi sinh vật có ý nghĩa chỉ định. Các mẫu tán huyết điển hình thu được với môi trường này.

    - Preparation
    - Suspend 37 grams of the medium in one liter of purified water.
    - Heat with frequent agitation and boil for one minute to completely dissolve the medium.
    - Autoclave at 121°C for 15 minutes.
    - Cool to 45-50°C and add 5-7% sterile defibrinated horse or sheep blood.
