Technological advancements are enhancing safety and efficiency in water usage across diverse industries such as Food and Beverage (FnB) businesses, restaurants, hotels, companies, offices, households, as well as laundry and cleaning services. These industries are benefitting from a comprehensive water filtration and anti-scaling technology system, which is currently operational within major food supply chains nationwide.
As part of the Technology Transfer Platform activities in 2023, the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) is organizing a seminar titled "Innovative Clean Filtration and Anti-Scaling Technology for Commercial and Residential Water Filtration". The event will be conducted by the Center for Statistic Science & Technology Information (CESTI).
The clean filtration and anti-scaling technology involve an integration of solutions such as mechanical filtration (surface and depth filters that capture pollutants), carbon filtration (improves odor and color, reduces chlorine and chloramines), ion exchange filtration (reduces hardness ions, prevents precipitation and scaling), and isolated ion filtration (polyphosphate combined with Ca2+ and Mg2+ ions inhibiting precipitation, reducing pipe blockages). This technology ensures safety and effectiveness in meeting the water usage needs of various industries:
• FnB businesses, restaurants, hotels, companies, offices, and households: Maintains appropriate mineral concentration and pH, eliminates residual chemicals and unfamiliar tastes from water, thereby supplying safe water to customers.
• Laundry and cleaning services: Enhances the lifespan and efficiency of washing machines and laundry systems. The complete removal of chlorine from water safeguards softness and longevity of fabrics, preserving their freshness and durability.
This advanced system is currently operational within major food supply chains nationwide, serving as a testament to its reliability and effectiveness in addressing water quality needs.
Date and Time: The seminar will be held on Thursday, 24th August 2023, from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM.
