The vacuum extraction system PVF, researched and produced in Vietnam, allows the extraction of various herbs, food, and cosmetics as an alternative to ultrasound and other technologies while still ensuring the quality of medicinal materials. The PVF vacuum extraction system is applied in several industries, including pharmaceuticals, food and beverages, and cosmetics.
As part of the Technology Transfer Platform activities in 2023, the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) is organizing a seminar titled "Application of PVF Vacuum Extraction System in the Production of Pharmaceuticals, Food, and Cosmetics". The event will be conducted by the Center for Statistic Science & Technology Information (CESTI).
The PVF vacuum extraction system, designed and manufactured in Vietnam, allows for the extraction of various herbs, food, and cosmetics, replacing technologies such as ultrasound while maintaining the quality of medicinal materials. Under changing vacuum pressure and the action of solvents, the raw materials are continuously compressed. When the pressure is negative, all matter is separated from the material's structure. The PVF vacuum extraction equipment can be fully automated, designed in various sizes from 50 liters to 10,000 liters, suitable for various solvents, with rapid extraction times (under 2 hours), low electricity consumption, low extraction temperatures (50°C - 85°C), and can use water for cooling at room temperature.
The PVF vacuum extraction system is applied in several industries, including:
- Pharmaceuticals: Separation and extraction of important active ingredients in pharmaceuticals such as Cordyceps sinensis and Lingzhi mushrooms.
- Food and beverages: Extraction of flavoring agents, colorants, and antioxidants from herbs like Ngoc Linh ginseng, Bo Chinh ginseng, ginseng, astragalus, and earth ginseng while preserving their natural flavors.
- Cosmetics: Extraction of ingredients used in cosmetics production, including vegetable oils, antibacterial agents, soothing agents, and natural surfactants.
The seminar aims to introduce and collaborate with departments, enterprises, and individuals operating in the pharmaceutical, food, cosmetic, and personal care industries who have the need for this technology.
Date and Time: The seminar will be held on Thursday, 12th October 2023, from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM.
