The PERMATRAN-C 4/41 series feature 2
independent cells allowing flexibility in test configurations. The
accurate Infrared sensor provides results in much less time than
traditional methods.
High Accuracy
- MOCON’s Patented Modulated InfraRed sensor is the only modulated sensor system on market meeting ASTM F2476
- Detection levels down to 1.0 cc/(m2*day)
- Automated flow compensation simplifies testing
- Built-in reference cell to monitor system stability
High Throughput
- Modulated IR sensors measures transmission rate in real time
greatly reducing overall test times compared to Zahn-Nagel transmission
rate methods
- Excellent correlation to Zahn-Nagel shelf life studies allowing significant reduction in long term testing
The PERMATRAN-C 4/41 Series of instruments can test the Carbon Dioxide Transmission Rate (CO2TR)
from low to high barriers on films, packages and bottles. Unlike
manometric or Zahn-Nagel methods that require long periods of time to
provide results the PERMATRAN-C 4/41 utilizes MOCON’s patented modulated
IR sensor system allowing it to provide accurate results in much less
time. Designed for a wide range of barriers this analyzer provides
highly repeatable test results from 1.0 to 155,000 cc/(m2*day).
The instrument has an easy to use operator interface and can be
connected to other MOCON instruments providing centralized control and
monitoring of multiple instruments. It has fully adjustable temperature
control and automated flow compensation.
For more than 25 years, MOCON’s PERMATRAN series of instruments have
been the most trusted and longest lasting on the market. The 4/41
series deliver fast CO2TR results in less time than
traditional methods helping to speed up research and development of new
materials or efficient verification of existing products.
