The FRITSCH Mortar Grinder PULVERISETTE 2 is a versatile laboratory grinder ideal for analysis, quality control, and materials testing, as well as mixing and homogenizing pastes and creams. It gently grinds by friction with minimal thermal load, making it perfect for preparing tablets in galenics. Using liquid nitrogen, it can also grind challenging moist, fibrous, or elastic samples. The grinder ensures loss-free, dust-free processing with reproducible short grinding and mixing times. It handles feed sizes of 6–8 mm and sample volumes up to 190 ml, achieving final fineness between 10 and 20 µm. The pestle applies pressure and friction against the mortar bowl’s walls and bottom, providing uniform, gentle grinding-dry or in suspension-at 70 to 80 rpm. Its robust design includes adjustable pestle pressure and optimized scraper kinematics for efficient, contamination-free sample preparation.
