The sludge that flows into the concentrator is concentrated to twice the inlet concentration and transferred to the dehydration screw for compression and dehydration treatment. Inside the thickener, there is a filtrate discharge device that separates the incoming sludge into concentrated filtrate and concentrated sludge.
Dewatering screw mechanism
The dehydration screw consists of a floating ring, a fixed ring, and a washer. The sludge that flows into the screw is compressed and dehydrated as the filtrate is discharged between the floating ring and the fixed ring, and the gap between the rings is formed by the washer.
During operation, the floating ring always moves left and right to prevent the gap between the floating ring and the fixed ring from being blocked. The moisture content of sludge decreases toward the rear end of the screw, and is discharged in the form of a dehydration cake between the back pressure plates.
