Bach khoa Innovation is an annual contest organized by Ho Chi Minh city University of Technology (HCMUT) with the patronage of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST). It is a playground for creativity, scientific research, and entrepreneurship in the field of science, engineering and technology for students across the city. The official theme this year is "Integration - Creativity - Entrepreneurship".
Participants are students from universities and colleges in Ho Chi Minh City and surrounding areas; alumnus of HCMUT or alumnus of members of Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNU HCMC) (graduated within 2 years); students of graduate programs from HCMUT or VNU HCMC. In addition, high school students in Ho Chi Minh City and surrounding areas can also attend. The participating team must have 3-5 members, each team cannot participate with more than 2 projects.

The projects registered for Bach Khoa Innovation 2022 need to be new and creative, focusing on solving current and future essential problems of society and leaning towards sustainable development. The contest encourages projects that apply knowledge related to majors such as computer science and engineering, electricity - electronics, mechanics - mechatronics, chemical engineering, construction Construction, environment, transportation, geology - petroleum, industrial management, materials, applied science, industrial maintenance...
Prizes include: 1 First prize worth 30 million VND, 2 Second prizes worth 15 million VND, 2 Third prizes worth 10 million VND, and 10 Consolation prizes (3 million VND). In addition, promising participating projects also have the opportunity to commercialize products with a maximum support budget of 2 billion VND/project.
